When I was younger I loved chocolate in any form from candy bars to chocolate milk to chocolate chip cookies. But as I grew older my taste for chocolate waned.
Recently however, and based purely on the scientific evidence (thank goodness for Science), I have begun to indulge in the somewhat bitter richness of dark chocolate. Apparently the health benefits of chocolate can only be found in the dark chocolate variety which is okay with me.
It's funny how chocolate affects our moods. It sometimes can be the great equalizer amongst parents and kids and can conjure up visons of romantic escapes, even if only for a moment or two. I know a few women who would much rather have chocolate than flowers for Valentines Day and let's not get into the ancient debate of which is better...sex or chocolate...:)
With that in mind it is easy to see how important chocolate has become when dealing with emotions and cravings. Like all good and yummy things, chocolate is great in moderation but who can eat just a square or a nibble. Thankfully, there are alternatives out there, like the dark chocolate morsels that can satisfy our chocolate cravings while also being good for our body, mind and soul. Check out the chocolates I have found in my search for the ultimate choco-experience and see if you agree. If you have other alternatives I would be grateful to hear them and will add them to the list...with a credit of course.
