I've never really been a cheese fan. I think it goes back to my youth when the babysitter used to feed my cheese sandwiches slathered in ketchup...:(
However, I have enjoyed some cheeses since then and I absolutely adore cheese and grapes as a combination. And don't get me started on Grilled Cheese and Tomato sandwiches...Yummy!!
Like most foods, cheese is best for us in moderation and while a great source of calcium and other nutrients, it is apparently also good for your teeth. Go figure! Anyway, a few of the cheese snacks I enjoy when I'm in the mood are of the low fat variety and surprisingly, low fat does not equal no taste with these cheese products. One of my fav snacks is a wedge or two of The Laughing Cow Light Cheese Wedges smeared along the inside of a celery stick. Half a wedge on a celery stick comes out to about 17 calories which is nothing. You could have 4 of those suckers and be full and content. In fact, with over hundreds of different cheeses I'm sure you can find one that fits your healthy lifestyle juts go easy on the portion size and the crackers and bread.
